Photo Post: Urban Street Kings, Cambridge

This week I can't stop thinking about the delicious food of Cambridge's very own Urban Street Kings, chefs Jay, Richard and Greg, also known as Guerilla Kitchen (or under their latest guise, The Smoke Shack). Whatever we ought to call them, this pop-up street food outfit is everywhere right now! Over the last few months, we've loved their fabulously good value, creative and contemporary, fine dining pop-up suppers at Black Cat Cafe, Stickybeaks, and The Alex pub on Gwydir Street. After tracking it down everywhere from Mill Road food fairs to the Free Press pub, we've got a constant craving for the trio's fresh fusion style of British and Vietnamese street food. Find them at the Free Press pub on Prospect Row where they are currently cooking up a storm every Tuesday to Friday lunchtime with a simple (but basically awesome) menu of steamed buns with buttermilk fried chicken, hoisin pork, or salmon in sriracha. Upcoming events include some exciting food and wine matching collaborations, more pop-up suppers, and a special Eat Cambridge festival fringe event (my lips are sealed!).

In the meantime, feast your eyes on these bad boys: some of my favourite snaps of street food, Urban Street Kings style...
